Now I like the Iphone as much as everyone else, but I don’t like the showoffy attitude some people have. I mean the phone’s pretty ubiquitous at this point, if you want one, you pretty much have it. Anyways, I’m doing my christmas shopping with my sister and I am trying to pick out a purse for my girlfriend. I’m discussing with my sister which one I should get when a lady overhears my conversation. Coming over she offers to take a picture of the purse (on her Iphone) send it to my gf through email (on her Iphone ) and talks about all the features in the meantime….(on her Iphone…did I mention this was on her Iphone?) I know all this stuff and more, but she keeps insisting. I don’t know her at all but she’s being pushy and I don’t want to seem rude in this crowded little store where people have started to watch this drama unfold. So we go ahead with the plan and sure enough an email and a phone call from a stranger later, my gf knows exactly what I am getting her and confirms she wants exactly what I had picked out.
Perhaps it was a woman in the throes of the holiday spirit. Perhaps she was possessed by it. Eitherway, I didn’t need her encyclopedia brown detective work to help me. If you have an Iphone, awesome, I’m actually kind of jealous, but there is no reason to start pulling one out and waving it around any time you could feasibly do so. I don’t think this lady would have had anywhere near the same urge if she was using a BlackBerry Bold or any other smartphone on the market. Hopefully with time this phenomena will dissapear but I could be wrong, its been 2 years already.

Whoa…Almost 2009. 3 days until Christmas and a few more before New Years. Everyone is gonna be getting gifts and partying. Here are some of my top gifts which would also help you party!
This beer tower looks pretty neat. While not a keg replacement, it would probably do in a pinch.
These icy shot glasses look awesome. Apparently it’s a way to make a shot glass out of frozen juice, gelatin, etc… Either way it seems like a pretty cool idea. I’m thinking it would be sweet to take a shot of vodka out of a frozen jello shot.
This crap kinda made me laugh more than impress me. These icy balls are supposed to melt differently from normal cubes and preserve the flavor of hard drinks. The website touts their ice as a way to spot a man of high sophistication. To me it seems like an easy way to spot a sucker.
This beer mug lamp, while sadly undrinkable, will be a guiding light on those dark drunken nights when you stumble home at 4 in the morning still a virgin.
What’s a party without drinking games?
This portable beer pong table is a nice way to bring beer pong wherever. I would personally like it due to it’s light weight. I don’t think it would stand up against a drunk dude falling on it, but it just seems freaking amazing that this thing folds out of a suitcase!
Sometimes you want to play drinking games to movies. Like attempting to take a swig of beer every time a robot transforms in Transformers, or drinking every time they say the word Jesus in Saved. Either way, it would look a lot better on an amazing 55 inch flat screen. This Bravia fits the bill nicely.
If I don’t see any of these things I think I’ll be happy with my new blender and try out some mixed drinks.
